iPhone TWICE as FAST? You got to be kidding…

September 2, 2008

Even the best of brands tend to over promise when it comes to marketing their products and under deliver when it comes to the actual user experience.

Based on my earlier post on iPhone, there are several challenges that iPhone users are facing across the world.

Here’s an interesting video that shows the real world 3G iPhone performance vs. what Apple claims it to be.

As you can see the ad claims everything on iPhone is twice as fast, be it about opening up the Safari, finding your location on the map or opening up an email and downloading an attachment of approximately 10 kb. You will be horrified to see the results.

While in the advertisement, everything happens in just a matter of few seconds, in the real world scenario, you will continue waiting endlessly for web pages to download, attachments to download, apps to install or location services to find you.

And the irony is that the user who has demonstrated this video is actually standing outside the Apple Store in Boston on a 3G network with full network strength.

Check it out decide for yourself if you wish to stick with looks or performance.
